Job summary

Northern Utah Cardiovascular, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Medical Office Specialist to join our busy practice in Ogden. This full-time role supports patient flow, registrations, and daily clerical operations to ensure high-quality, efficient care.

This position offers a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights, on-call, weekends or holidays. You will greet patients, verify insurance, check in, schedule, handle payments, maintain records, and support a collaborative team dedicated to

Qualifications

• 1-3 years medical office experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience using an EHR system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work at the reception desk, answer phones, greet and communicate with patients and providers.
• Scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling patient appointments.
• Checking in patients and properly documenting registration.
• Insurance verification and verification of patient demographics.
• Filing and retrieving medical records/files.
• Copying and faxing duties.
• Collecting co-pays and cash from patients, getting authorization on credit cards.
• Entering charges, payments, and balancing the day on the computer.
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.
