Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) Dermatology seeks a Medical Office Assistant to serve as the front-line liaison for patients, greeting them with courtesy and ensuring smooth registration, scheduling, insurance verification and billing in line with UHS policies.

In the clinical aspect, the assistant supports patient care tasks under licensed supervision, assisting nurses, providers, and physicians with procedures as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or direct patient care experience.
• CPR certification required within 1 week of start; CMAA certification preferred.

# **Position Overview**In a clerical role the Medical Office Assistant is the customer service liaison to each of our practices. The Medical Office Assistant greets each patient with courtesy and respect using exceptional communication skills. The purpose of this position is to provide our patients with a seamless experience while following all UHS Policies regarding registration, scheduling, insurance verification and billing.
