Job summary

Orthopedic Physicians Alaska is seeking a Medical Materials Associate to ensure availability of medical supplies and durable equipment for physicians. You will work under the Medical Materials Manager, stocking materials and verifying arrivals against packing slips and invoices.

You will schedule inbound/outbound shipments, liaise with vendors, maintain data in the Material Information Systems, and assist the Accounting Department with cost reconciliations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's or Master’s in Logistics or Supply Chain.
  • Physical ability to lift 10–50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Stock medical supply rooms with required materials.
  • Verify arriving materials against packing slips and invoices.
  • Schedule and track all inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Occasionally work with transportation representatives, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Communicate problems, needs, leads and inquiries to the team lead.
  • Maintain and update information in the Medical Materials Information Systems.
  • Assist Accounting with cost reconciliations.

Your Role At OPA

As a Medical Materials Associate at OPA, you will work under the direction of the Medical Materials Manager, to ensure the continued availability of medical supplies and Durable Medical Equipment for our physicians.

What You’ll Do
  • Stock medical supply rooms with required materials.
  • Ensure arriving materials are verified against packing slips and invoices.
  • Schedule and track all inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Occasionally work with transportation representatives, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Communicate problems, needs, leads and inquiries to the team lead.
  • Maintain and update accurate information in the company's Medical Materials Information Systems.
  • Assists Accounting Department with appropriate cost reconciliations.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Note: This position requires frequent lifting of 10 to 30 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
