Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corporation is seeking a Medical Management Coordinator I for in-person work in Montebello, CA. The role focuses on supporting health plan audits, data validation, and quality improvement within the medical management division.

The position requires strong experience in medical billing, pre-authorizations, and regulatory compliance related to Medi-Cal, CCS, and other programs. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with a Medical Billing certificate preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a medical billing environment (IPA or HMO preferred).
• Experience with pre-authorizations and reimbursement regulations for Medi-Cal, CCS, and other programs.
• Experience in quality improvement/data analysis/project management with measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical management activities under supervision.
• Assist with health plan audits and reporting, and data validation.
• Support internal departments and external clients to align with managed care objectives.
