City of Plant City in Tampa is seeking an associate attorney with 3-5 years of medical malpractice experience to support shareholders in its Tampa office.

The successful candidate will prepare timely and substantive reports to insurance carriers and clients; review and analyze medical records; conduct legal research; draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents; and prepare deposition, expert, and medical record summaries.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of medical malpractice experience.
• Member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Prior experience with insurance carrier reporting and billing preferred.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced litigation environment.
