Compensation ranges from $125,000 to $200,000 to reflect seniority and experience. The attorney will handle defense work for physicians and healthcare providers, including depositions, pretrial motions, and trial readiness, with the potential for partnership as experience

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation experience, with medical malpractice defense strongly preferred.
• Comfort with medical terminology and a real interest in how medicine works.
• Good judgment on when a case should be tried and when it should be resolved.

Responsabilités

• Working through medical records and building the defense theory with the client and experts.
• Taking and defending depositions of treating physicians, nurses, plaintiffs and retained experts.
• Handling presuit, mediations, Daubert and summary judgment motions, and preparing cases for trial; advising clients directly and reporting to carriers, with your name on the work.
• For experienced attorneys: first chair trial work, larger exposure files and supervising other members of the team.
