Job summary

Mission Pet Health seeks a Medical Lead Veterinarian for our Castle Rock hospital. You will mentor the DVM team, lead clinical excellence, and collaborate with leadership to drive hospital performance and strategic growth.

You will champion growth through mentorship programs, monthly doctor meetings, and engagement with the broader Mission Pet Health network, delivering high‑quality medicine and outstanding client service.

Qualifications

• DVM degree and valid state veterinary license.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical clinical experience.
• Servant leadership mentality and ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Understanding of hospital finance and operating management.
• Proficiency with MS Office and similar tools.
• Enthusiasm for a progressive, growth‑oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the DVM team, conduct performance discussions, and foster teamwork and retention.
• Model medical excellence in medicine, client service, and efficiency while maintaining clinical practice.
• Collaborate with Practice Manager to develop annual operating plans and manage financial performance toward EBITDA goals.
• Lead monthly doctor meetings, supervise externships and mentorship, and drive recruitment culture.
• Act as an ambassador for the hospital and Mission Pet Health in the community.
