Your Place In Vermont is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for the weekend overnight shift at Springfield Hospital. The role involves performing complex tests, maintaining QA standards, and promoting cost-effective practices in a fast-paced lab environment located in Springfield, VT.

Qualifications include an Associate degree with MLT certification (ASCP preferred), at least six months of lab experience, and BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Qualifications

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) will:

• Communicate pertinent technical information to medical, paramedical, or lay individuals.
• Demonstrate commitment to patient care and professionalism.
• Accept responsibility for practicing safe laboratory techniques.

This position is the weekend overnight shift, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Medical Technology with MLT certification; ASCP certification preferred
• Six (6) months' general lab experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Salary Range:

The base rate for this position is $30.00 - $35.16 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
