Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests, prepare specimens, and operate automated laboratory instruments. Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and ASCP BOC certification, with at least one year of clinical experience.
Performs a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic medical lab tests as requested by healthcare staff according to established protocols and procedures. Prepares specimens for microscopic examination or testing procedures. Operates automated laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Performs quality control and assurance procedures. Records lab results in specified system. Follows all required privacy, safety, and biohazard procedures and standards.

Performs sample assessment, receiving, accessioning, processing, and testing to support high quality laboratory patient results, as well as supply/stock maintenance activities to support testing activities.
Education: Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. Experience: At least one year of clinical experience. Certification: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent. NOTE: This is a Career Ladder Position. Internal candidates are required to submit and meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements. External candidates are required to complete Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements within 90 days in position.
