Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team at All Saints Spring St Campus in Racine, WI. This 3rd shift position runs 9:30pm–7:30am, with weekday and alternating holiday/weekend coverage.

Responsibilities include evaluating specimens, performing tests per SOPs, monitoring instruments, and reporting results to support quality patient care. Minimum qualifications: an associate degree in a chemical/biological science or Medical Technology and lab testing experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology
• 3 or more months of clinical laboratory testing experience or a MLT degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
• 1 year or more core lab/generalist experience
• 1 year or more automated blood bank experience
• ASCP or AMT certification

AdditionalJobStandards:

• In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirement
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Proficient with computers
• High levelof attention detail along withstrong communicationand organizational skills
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
