Jobbeschreibung

Highly specialized and educated technician who performs clinical analysis requiring limited skills, responsibility, and minimal exercise of independent judgement. Medical technicians must work under the supervision of a registered Medical Technologist at all times. Performs phlebotomy duties as needed. Follows policies and procedures to ensure overall departmental operations in accordance with the facility’s mission and philosophy. Participates and maintains quality assurance activities to assure highest standards of care.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: Must be registered as a medical technician in accordance with the standards of the Department of Human Resources of Georgia.
• Experience: 1‑3 months of on‑the‑job training and experience.

PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS

• Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions.
• To move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the work day, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
• Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned.
