Qualifications

• BS or BA Degree from an accredited University, Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related science, or equivalent military training.
• ASCP or AAB Board Certification in Medical Technology or MLS/MLT, or registry eligible with certification within 6 months of hire.
• Current BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Identify, collect and process laboratory specimens and report test results in all areas of the clinical laboratory.
• Maintain laboratory records, follow policies, ensure quality control and compliance.
• Perform high-complexity testing and adjust methods for neonate to geriatric patients.
• Phlebotomy on inpatients and outpatients with proper ID and documentation.
• Ensure accurate specimen identification, quality observations (hemolyzed, lipemic, icteric), and proper tube handling.
• Maintain equipment, participate in performance improvement, and support billing records.
