Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Med Lab Scientist 2 for the Chemistry - Immunology department. Shift: Day, Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm with rotating Saturday.

Must hold ASCP or equivalent certification with at least 3 years of experience. The role performs and monitors a full range of lab tests, ensures quality control, handles equipment maintenance, and collaborates with laboratory staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience above minimum qualification.
• Must hold ASCP or equivalent certification with at least 3 years of experience.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs laboratory tests in compliance with department procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Follows quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Performs instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Accurately reports test results.
• Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies.
• Maintains effective communication with laboratory personnel and external customers.
• Participates in laboratory projects and educational activities.
• Demonstrates and educates laboratory methods and technical skills to others.

Job Summary

The Med Lab Scientist 2 performs and monitors a full range of lab tests and research. Assumes responsibility for problem resolution, quality control, and equipment maintenance with minimal supervision.

• Performs laboratory tests in compliance with department procedures and all pertinent regulatory requirements.
• Follows quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Performs instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Accurately reports test results.
• Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies.
• Maintains effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.
• Participates in laboratory projects and educational activities.
• Demonstrates and educates laboratory methods and technical skills to others.

• American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB)
• Grandfathered HEW Licensee.
