Henry Ford Macomb Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. MLS rotates through all departments to maintain competency across the lab and collaborates closely with ER and outpatient teams.

The role emphasizes routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and body fluids, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and patient care in a supportive setting. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program required.
• Six months of experience in a medical laboratory setting.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency to perform laboratory functions.

Responsabilidades

• Performs routine and complex biological, chemical, cytological, hematological, histologic, immunological, microscopic, and/or bacteriological tests procedures on laboratory specimens, using manual or automated techniques and information systems.
• Applies knowledge, training, and independent clinical judgment to take action and/or develop solutions.
• Calibration, preventive maintenance, quality control, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and systems.
• Compliance with policies, safety, infection control, and confidentiality; participate in quality improvement activities.
