Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform analyses from various specimens and contribute to high-quality patient care. You will ensure specimen integrity, operate instruments with proper QC, and participate in ongoing education and competency testing.

A $12,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates. The role is full-time, dayshift, with typical 40 hours per week in a clinical laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with MT program accreditation or ASCP cert.
• ASCP categorical certification or two years as MLT equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs analyses from multiple specimen sources.
• Maintains productivity and completes tasks in a timely manner.
• Handles specimens properly and ensures correct identification.
• Operates instruments, performs QC, and reples reagents per protocols.
• Provides training and orientation to new employees.
• Maintains knowledge through education activities and competency exams.
