Job summary

Medical City Denton in Denton, TX, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our clinical laboratory team. The role requires performing chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more lab sections, while upholding safety and patient care standards.

You will maintain records of performance, patient results and quality control, oversee equipment maintenance, and assist with laboratory training programs as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• MLS or Certified Medical Lab/Certified Lab Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Lab Scientist/AMT certification is required.
• At least one year experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
• Maintain records of performance, patient results and quality control.
• Maintain equipment, record preventive and remedial maintenance of equipment.
• Assist with laboratory training programs as required.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree is required

MLS/Medical Lab certification required
