Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from Medical Laboratory Assistant Program.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy or ASCP certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens by venipuncture or capillary skin puncture and other specimens.
• Process and handle specimens according to testing requirements to support clinical laboratory testing.
• Perform laboratory testing as required by accreditation and licensure.
• Participate in training of new employees, students, and other personnel.
