Job summary

Freestone Medical Center seeks an MLT/MT Generalist PRN in the Laboratory. The role involves performing patient testing, QC, analyzer maintenance, data analysis, and result reporting to support diagnosis and patient care.

Must be capable of waived testing and microscopic analysis, with care for all ages following technical protocols. Candidates should have a Medical Lab Technology degree, MLT licensure, and English fluency; Blood Bank and microbiology proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Blood Bank proficiency is a MUST.

• Experience preferred but new graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical laboratory procedures including patient testing and QC.

• Provide patient care following established lab protocols for all ages.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Works well by themselves in a fast paced setting; perform technical laboratory procedures (patient testing, QC, analyzer maintenance, analyze statistical data, troubleshoot (a must) and report results to be used for prediction and diagnosis of disease and provision of quality patient care; be able to perform all aspects of laboratory – mostly waived testing and microscopic analysis; be able to provide appropriate care for all ages by following established technical protocols, use appropriate instrumentation and report and interpret results based on normal ranges.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor or Associate’s degree in Medical Lab Technology/Clinical Lab Science
• Registration as MLT or HEW Licensure

EXPERIENCE

• Blood Bank proficiency is a MUST
• Must be proficient in microbiology
