Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks an MLT to perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, operate instruments, and ensure accurate results are entered into the LIS. The role includes phlebotomy duties and active participation in quality assurance and inventory maintenance.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited MLT program completion, ASCP or equivalent licensure, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited MLT program.
• Demonstrated ability to perform routine and special laboratory tests.
• Ability to transcribe and enter results accurately into LIS.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests per established protocols.
• Operates laboratory instrumentation as required.
• Recognizes instrument malfunctions and initiates corrective action.
• Performs phlebotomy duties as assigned.
• Monitors supplies and reports low inventory to supervisor.
• Documents results accurately and maintains QA data.
