MercyOne is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform clinical testing of specimens, ensuring accurate and reliable data for patient assessment. The role requires obtaining specimens, verifying patient IDs, labeling, and preparing samples for testing.
Night shift responsibilities include conducting analyzer and non-analyzer testing, reviewing data for instrument performance, and communicating critical values to physicians and nursing staff.

Performs clinical testing of laboratory specimens to provide accurate and reliable data for clinical assessment of patients. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of MercyOne.
Obtains proper specimens for testing.
Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit, which may include:
Birth-28 days: Neonate
1-18 Months: Infant
18 Mo-3 Yrs: Toddler
3-6 Yrs: Pre-School Aged
6-12 Yrs: School-Aged
12-18 Yrs: Adolescents
18-65 Yrs: Adults
65+ Yrs: Geriatrics
