Job summary

Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa, IA is seeking a Medical Lab Technician on a PRN basis. You will perform standard lab tests, report results, and maintain testing equipment with emphasis on quality control and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; MLT certification preferred.
  • Experience with common laboratory testing procedures and QC.
  • Maintenance of testing instrumentation and equipment.

  • Performs common testing procedures and reports results accurately.
  • Conducts instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Performs quality control testing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintains supplies and equipment for testing.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Maintains regular attendance and performs other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

A Medical Lab Technician who excels in this role:

  • Performs common testing procedures and reports test results accurately.
  • Conducts instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Performs quality control testing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintains supplies and equipment necessary for testing.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

  • Education:Associate's Degree in Science required.
