Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a lab professional to perform waived and non-waived tests with supervision, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will help ensure compliance with CLIA ’88 and other accrediting bodies, assist with specimen collection and processing, and maintain documentation and competency assessments.

The role requires strong reading, writing, math, and communication skills, along with attention to detail and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have formal education in laboratory science or related field.
• Experience or training in phlebotomy is preferred where applicable.
• Competency in CLIA and other accrediting requirements is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and non-waived tests as defined by CLIA ’88, accurately and timely.
• Assist with department compliance to CLIA ’88, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA requirements.
• Handle collection, receipt, and processing of specimens into the lab.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in on-site competency evaluations.

Assists with department compliance with all pertinent laboratory accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA ’88, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA). Personnel report to department supervisor.
