Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an MRI/MLT technician to join our team. You will perform testing, maintain instruments, and manage specimens with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Ideal candidates hold NC MLT (ASCP) or AMT, an AAS in Clinical Lab Technology, and BLS within 60 days of hire. This on-site role offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold NC MLT (ASCP) or AMT license and an Associate of Applied Science in Clinical Lab Technology or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs common testing procedures and reports test results.
• Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Performs quality control testing.
• Maintains supplies needed for performance of tests.
• Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
• Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
• Assists with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens.
• Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a current North Carolina MLT (ASCP) certification or AMT license. Associates of Applied Science degree in Clinical Lab Technology or equivalent certification by a CLIA approved credentialing organization. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 60 days of hire
