Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a full-time night shift. The center offers open-heart surgery, women's and children's services, and a range of imaging and emergency services.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's Degree in Science and MLT certification (ASCP or AMT) preferred, with responsibilities including routine testing, instrument maintenance, quality control, and ensuring safety and accuracy in the lab.

Medical Lab Tech Position Summary

Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.

Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, computer/data entry, and instrument handling; occasional standing, walking, and light lifting. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Education
