Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to provide expertise and champion results. We are a supportive team that values each member, and we seek someone who shares our commitment to patient experience.

You Will:

1. Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing.
2. Seek guidance from medical technologists, supervisors, department head, and medical director in reviewing and interpreting clinical laboratory data.
3. Complete all required records and documentation related to patient results.
4. Perform stat procedures, timed studies, and routine tests within established turnaround times.
5. Review pending logs (OSR) and result logs; resolve workload issues or communicate with staff relief.
6. Perform quality control procedures per protocol and document accordingly.
7. Take corrective actions when patient, control, standard, calibration, or proficiency results are outside guidelines.
8. Assist the supervisor in meeting department regulatory requirements (CAP, etc.).

You Should Have:

1. A 2-year/Associate Degree in Science.
2. A State of Florida Technician License or the ability to obtain one during the interview process.
3. ASCP or similar certification is highly beneficial.
