Job summary

Willapa Harbor Hospital seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist/MLS to plan, perform, evaluate and report CLIA-waived to highly complex tests. You will handle QC/QA, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting while coordinating with health care providers.

The role requires an associate's degree with MLT/MLS certification and at least 3 years hospital lab experience; Blood Banking and phlebotomy are preferred, MA-P phlebotomy license within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, training to include certified MLT/MLS program.
• MLT/MLS certification by ASCP, AMT, AABB or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years Generalist experience in a hospital laboratory.
• Blood Banking and phlebotomy preferred.
• MA-P phlebotomy license required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform, evaluate and report CLIA waivered, moderately complex and highly complex testing.
• Perform day-to-day work of MLT/MLS including QC/QA, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Monitor supply inventory and communicate with health care providers and patients.

Full Time Monday-Thursday 10:00 AM -- 8:30 PM with holidays, and call- Shift/days may change

Major Duties & Responsibilities

[Has a professional responsibility for planning, performing, evaluating and reporting CLIA '88 waived, moderately complex and highly complex testing. This includes pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical function; performing the day-to-day work of MLT/MLS to include performing quality control and quality assurance; instrument maintenance and troubleshooting; monitoring supply inventory; and establishing and/or maintaining communications with health care providers, patients, and other hospital personnel. ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}
