Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant I to assist with processing, labeling, and transporting specimens for laboratory testing. The position includes input and extraction of data in the Laboratory Information System and performing basic clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing documents.

You will support the laboratory team, communicate with patients, physicians, and co-workers, and help maintain accurate records while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous lab experience preferred.
• Ability to safely handle specimens and follow procedures.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
