• Bachelor's degree as defined by CLIA, upon hire.
• International Medical Laboratory Scientist credential upon hire.
• Blood Banking credential upon hire.
• ASCP credential in Chemistry upon hire.
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist credentials upon hire.
• Microbiology/Molecular Biology credentials upon hire.
• Med Technologist/AMT or equivalent credential upon hire.
• Hematology/Histology related credentials upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports waived, moderately complex, and highly complex test procedures on patient specimens per SOPs to ensure accuracy.
• Provides patient care through clinical correlation of results and rapid notification of critical values.
• Ensures major automated equipment is operational via calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Performs calibration and quality control procedures and maintains records.
• Performs proficiency testing and reviews results with laboratory leaders.
• Assists in evaluating and documenting validation of new procedures and equipment.
