UCHealth in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Laboratory professional to perform diagnostic testing across multiple laboratory sections. The role is onsite, part-time, with a flex shift and hourly pay between $29.54 and $44.31 depending on experience.

Responsibilities include performing diagnostic testing, quality control, instrument maintenance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Must work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.

Location: UCHealth UCHth Parkview Medical Center, US:CO:Pueblo

Department: Laboratory

Work Schedule: Part Time, 40.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Flex

Pay: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary

Performs laboratory testing of patient specimens in one or more sections of the laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens. Interprets, documents and reports test results.
• Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Complies with good laboratory practice and regulatory requirements.
• Performs projects as assigned as well as serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff as needed.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and graduate of an accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist program.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society for ClinicalPathology (ASCP) or categorical ASCP certification in a laboratory specialty/sub-specialty as applicable to job responsibilities. State licensure if required by law. Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
