Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist/Medical Technician for a full-time night shift in the northern Michigan region. The role involves accurate testing, interpretation of results, and potential rotation through all lab departments in a high-quality hospital system.

The position requires a 4-year or 2-year degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science and ASCP MT/MLS/CLS certification or eligibility, with a $18,000 sign-on bonus offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology or related field.
• Registered MT/MLS with ASCP or equivalent; MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP) or CLS(ASCP) certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently perform, assess, correlate and interpret routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests.
• Rotate through all clinical laboratory departments and operate, maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation.

A Day inthe Life

Accurately and efficiently perform, assess, correlate and interpret routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests in compliance with departmental procedures and applicable regulations. Maintain a fundamental knowledge of all clinical laboratory departments and have the ability to rotate through all departments. Operate, maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation to meet quality assurance parameters.

What’s Required

• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree inClinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology or related degree or 2 Year / Associates degree in Medical Technology
• Registered Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent.Nationally recognized certification or eligible (ASCP) as a MT(ASCP), MLS (ASCP) or CLS (ASCP). Must be certified within 12 months of hire and recertify if/as required.
