Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant III to join our Lab Outreach team at Baptist Medical Center Nassau Crossing. This day shift position runs Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm, located at Nassau Crossing - Main Building Freestanding ED.

Responsibilities include handling pre- and post-analytical tasks, communicating results to physicians, collecting blood specimens, and using lab computer systems. A high school diploma is required; healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in a Healthcare Setting preferred.
• Phlebotomy and specimen processing experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
• Communicate laboratory results and respond to questions from physicians and caregivers.
• Collect blood specimens for routine and special procedures.
• Utilize computer functions in the lab.

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant III to join our Lab Outreach team at Baptist Medical Center. This is a day shift, Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:30pm.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant III, you will be responsible for:

• Performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
• Communicating laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.
• Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
• Utilizing computer functions.

Medical Laboratory Assistant II Experience:

• Experience Working in a Healthcare Setting
• Phlebotomy Experience
• Specimen Processing Experience

Education & Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma Required
