Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant III to join the Lab Outreach team at Baptist Medical Center. This day-shift role (Mon-Fri, 7:00am–4:30pm) supports pre- and post-analytical handling of specimens and communicates results to physicians.

Located at Nassau Crossing - Main Building, this position offers the opportunity to work in a Magnet-designated hospital dedicated to high-quality care and patient safety, with outpatient lab work across Northeast Florida.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
• Communicate laboratory results and respond to specimen-related questions from physicians and various caregivers.
• Collect blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
• Utilize computer functions to document and track specimens and results.
