FT Medical Lab Assistant II Position with Presbyterian Medical Center, 7:30am-4:00pm, M-F
Certification Requirements: ASCP, NHA, ASPT, or AMT certification required within 12 months.
The team member is responsible for pre-analytical processing of laboratory specimens, including order processing, specimen verification, centrifugation, aliquoting, etc. They validate and process specimens delivered to the laboratory, ensuring timely and appropriate preparation for testing. The role may include performing phlebotomy. The team member must be capable of making decisions, solving problems, and knowing when to involve leadership. They are responsible for following policies and procedures and may assist in training others on equipment and software.
