Qualifications

• Knowledge of tools, equipment, techniques, skills, materials, and methods of janitorial work.
• Able to pass Bloodborne Pathogen training.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Use cleaning equipment, including automatic floor machines, commercial vacuums, wet mops, large wringers, and other supplies.
• Clean and maintain buildings, remove debris, and keep areas neat and tidy.
• Vacuum and buff floors, shampoo carpets, empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Dry and wet mop floors, scrub and buff with machines, vacuum carpets to control bacteria, move trash.
• Routine heavy cleaning.
• Perform special cleaning of induction units, walls, lighting fixtures, and windows, indoors and outdoors.
• Identify safety hazards and follow safety rules.
• Document inspections and maintenance activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
