Job summary

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, Kentucky seeks a Foreign Language Interpreter to support patients, medical staff, and authorized personnel across clinical settings. Duties include telephonic interpretation, on-site face-to-face interpretation for medical appointments, and video remote interpretation when requested, all while preserving confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in English and at least one foreign language.
• Appropriate interpreter training, certification/credentials, or documented competency.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow interpreter ethics.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic interpretation between English-speaking personnel and LEP individuals.
• Provide on-site face-to-face foreign language interpretation for medical appointments and meetings.
• Provide video remote interpretation when requested.
• Accurately interpret conversations without adding, omitting, or altering meaning.
• Respond professionally to scheduled, short-notice, and emergency interpretation assignments and maintain confidentiality.
