Job summary

Siemens Healthineers seeks an ambitious Medical Imaging Field Engineer I to service CT equipment in the Baltimore/DC Metro area. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on Siemens Healthineers equipment and deliver timely repairs while training operators for optimal system performance.

You will help manage the territory’s financial performance through inventory control, time management and prompt service call closures, and you will handle company assets

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher with technical training preferred.
  • Proficient with DMM, oscilloscope, and torque wrenches.
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • 1+ years’ electro-mechanical or biomedical field service experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform required tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing CT equipment in the Baltimore/DC Metro area.
  • Engineer level to be determined by prior experience.

Responsibilities

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Medical Imaging Field Engineer I, you will be responsible for

  • You will be servicing CT equipment in the Baltimore / D.C. Metro area.
  • Engineer Level based on prior experience.
  • You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthineers equipment.
  • You will be responsible for delivering both timely and effective repairs as well as adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction.
  • You will help manage financial performance within your territory through inventory management, time management, and timely service call closure.
  • You will manage company assets to include a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, inventory parts, etc.
  • Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.

  • You have knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • You have the ability and experience to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
  • You have experience in testing, repairing, and maintaining capital medical equipment.
  • You have strong customer service and communication skills.
  • You are proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment.
  • General understanding of the principles of electricity, power supplies, and grounding.
Required skills to have for the success of this role
  • Minimum high school diploma. Technical degree, military training, or equivalent applicable training preferred.
  • Must be proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment (DMM, Oscilloscope, torque wrenches, etc.).
  • Ability to work individually and in a team setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • 1+ years’ experience of complex electro-mechanical, or as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments needed.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.
  • Physical Requirements: Lifting 50lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
  • Highly organized and able to plan.

To be eligible for employment, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license in the state they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless such a restriction is prohibited by state/local law).

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is

$55,230 - $75,944

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.

Position must have full access to Siemens Healthineers' client sites to perform the essential functions of this position.
