Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking Advanced Practice Providers (PA/NP) to work in collaboration with physicians in a hospital-based inpatient setting, primarily in the Intensive Care Unit or as a surgery first assist across multiple specialties. The role demands high-level independent clinical decision-making and invasive procedures as required by privileges.

Applicants must hold Ohio APRN/PA credentials and national certifications, with appropriate supervisory arrangements in place.

Qualifications

• APRN license issued by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Certification by NCCPA as Physician Assistant.
• PA license in good standing with Ohio medical boards.
• AANP certification as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under direction and in collaboration with a physician in hospital-based inpatient settings.
• Provide care to critically ill patients, primarily in the ICU or as a surgery first assist.
• Adhere to state laws and delineation of privileges; promote quality outcomes and initiatives.
• Maintain a Supervision Agreement (SA) or Standard Care Arrangement (SCA) with a supervising physician.

Job Description Summary:

The Advanced Practice Providers (APP), Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) including Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), work in collaboration with the physician in the hospital-based inpatient setting working with critically ill patients, primarily in the Intensive Care Unit or as a surgery first assist in a variety of specialties. Perform invasive procedures and requires a high level of independent clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Works under direction and in consultation/collaboration with physician and may perform services authorized by the supervising/collaborating physician that are part of the physician's normal course of practice and expertise. Promotes quality outcomes and initiatives. Must have a Supervision Agreement (SA) or Standard Care Arrangement (SCA) with a physician in like practice. Practices within applicable state laws, appropriate boards, and in accordance with his/her/their SA/SCA and delineation of privileges.
