Description

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a full-time Medical Front Office Specialist to join our team at Birmingham Heart Clinic in Birmingham, AL.

Responsibilities:

  • Check-in patients or greet customers in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Obtain complete registration from the patient
  • Prepare the encounter, verifying insurance referral and/or prior authorizations are valid and print the medication lists.
  • Enter electronic messages to other departments to assist with patient flow and document patient wait times.
  • Assist the Billing Department with collecting co-pays and patient balances.
  • Provide the billing department with a clear copy of insurance cards and current demographic information.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of patient scheduling techniques/insurance & billing preferred but not required
  • High school diploma or GED
