Job summary

Agiliti in Richmond, VA is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician I to provide cost-effective maintenance on a range of medical devices, ensuring they operate according to manufacturer specs.

You will perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and repairs under supervision, document all activities for billing and compliance, and collaborate with clinical staff to discuss equipment features and performance. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Safe driving record.
• Basic computer skills; understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours to support a 24/7 schedule.
• Willingness to travel periodically.
• The ability to lift and/or push up to 75 pounds.
• The ability to bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost-effective equipment inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair service on a variety of medical devices including medical beds, infusion pumps, patient monitoring equipment, etc.
• Complete all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure complete documentation for billing and required regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.
