Position SummaryGDM-AE, Inc. is staffing for federal healthcare construction and design support work at active healthcare facilities in Palo Alto, CA.This is a Licensed-Architect-required role and calls for medical equipment planning experience on hospitals, clinics, and other active healthcare facilities. The Medical Equipment Planning Architect must have 5+ years of professional architectural experience with a focus on the design and construction administration of commercial or institutional buildings. This role coordinates procurement, placement, and integration of medical equipment supporting clinical needs and patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate procurement, placement, and integration of medical equipment to support clinical needs and enhance patient care.Plan layout and installation of equipment to optimize workflow and efficiency given spatial constraints and operational needs of clinical departments.Conduct research and analysis to select equipment that meets quality, budget, and code/regulatory compliance.Develop, review, and coordinate medical equipment lists, room data sheets, equipment matrices, cut sheets, and planning documentation.Coordinate with clinical users, facility staff, designers, project managers, contractors, vendors, and procurement stakeholders.Review drawings, room layouts, utility requirements, and project scopes for equipment coordination issues including space, clearances, mounting, seismic, infection control, and operations.Manage vendor relationships, oversee installation processes, and provide staff training on equipment use and maintenance.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program required.Registered Architect with a current US license required. Proof of licensure required prior to assignment.
