St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Medical Equipment Cleaning Technician to join the Edgewood Clinical Engineering Team.

This role cleans, disinfects, inspects, tests and prepares mobile equipment, ensuring safety and readiness for patient care across multiple facilities. The position supports clinical engineering, nursing and supply chain by keeping equipment available and traceable, with emphasis on infection prevention and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow written procedures.
• Preferred: Associate degree or BMET Certification.
• CMMS experience and knowledge of inventory systems are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Clean, disinfect, inspect and function-test mobile medical equipment per manufacturer and Infection Prevention guidelines.
• Deliver, retrieve, transport, stage and distribute equipment across facilities.
• Perform basic inspections and troubleshooting to determine need for Clinical Engineering review.
• Document all cleaning, movement, service and inventory in departmental systems.
• Maintain clean and organized storage and transport areas; participate in quality improvement activities.

Shift/Hours: Full Time 30 Hours, First Shift Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, inspecting, performing function testing and basic troubleshooting, transporting, staging, and documenting mobile medical equipment used throughout the health system. Ensures equipment is safe, clean, available, and ready for patient care in accordance with Infection Prevention standards, manufacturer recommendations, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. Supports Clinical Engineering, Nursing, Supply Chain, and other departments by maintaining equipment availability and reducing equipment downtime through efficient cleaning and distribution processes.
