Adventist Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver prescribed radiation therapy with precision and compassion at our Marysville-area facilities. You will work with physicians and clinical teams to ensure safe, effective patient care across our radiation therapy services.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT-Radiation Therapy certification, a CA radiologic technology degree, and CPR/BLS certification, with fluoroscopy clearance.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification or Basic Life Support certification from approved vendor per AH policy
• ARRT-Radiation Therapy certification (AART-T) required
• Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice: ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) required
• Delivers the prescribed course of radiation therapy by checking prescription and patient identification
• Observes patients for unusual reactions and report complications to supervisor

• Prepares room and equipment for treatment and assists with patient positioning
• Monitors patients during treatment and reports adverse reactions to supervisor

Administers ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians.

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's)
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) and Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT)
• RequiredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
• Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice, Department of Health Services: ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)
• RequiredDelivers the prescribed course of radiation therapy by checking prescription, diagnosis chart, and patient identification.
• Prepares room and equipment for patient according to prescription or simulation regarding immobilization devices, etc., transfers patient to treatment couch, giving attention to the special needs of the patient.
• Observes patients for unusual reactions and for signs and symptoms of developing complications during treatment, reporting reactions and complications to supervisor and department physician.
• Provides clinical supervision and evaluates students' practical ability to perform procedures.
