Next Level Urgent Care, LLC seeks an experienced physician supervisor to oversee NPs and PAs delivering virtual care to South Carolina patients. You will ensure APPs adhere to Chief Medical Officer standards and supervision policies, delivering quality, evidence-based care.

You will also participate in chart reviews, maintain safety standards, and ensure remote staff compliance with Next Level Medical policies while supporting scalable telemedicine operations.

Qualificações

• MD or DO with valid Texas and SC licenses or willingness to obtain before start date.
• Board certification in specialty.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Clinical experience in emergency, urgent care, or ambulatory settings preferred.
• BLS certification and unrestricted DEA license.

Description

Job Summary:

Provide supervision for NPs and PAs who are delivering virtual care to South Carolina patients. Ensure that all APPs are following standards and protocols set by the Chief Medical Officer. Ensure that all APPs assigned deliver quality and evidence based care. Comply with chart review and supervision policies outlined by Next Level Medical. Willing to provide supervision to Next Level APPs up to the maximum number allowed by the state medical board.

General Accountabilities:

• Assure efficient and smooth patient visit experience.
• Follow company patient-care protocols.
• Perform complete physical exams and assessments of patients including urgent, emergent and non-urgent presentation.
• Selects, orders, and perform tests and procedures to augment physical findings.
• Define/document differential diagnoses and list differential diagnoses with most likely diagnoses included.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as deemed necessary and appropriate for plan of care.
• Interpret data and diagnostic results for appropriate course of action including but not limited to laboratory, radiology, EKG, etc....
• Performs duties in accordance with the customary rules of ethics and conduct of the Texas Medical Board
• Prescribes medication doses appropriate for each patient and explains correct uses.
• Maintains quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Exercises tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex and confidential patient issues and situations.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
• Learns computer software programs; enters and maintains accurate data and statistical information in order to consistently prepare clear and concise reports.
• Supervises nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
• Follow company protocols and policies

Requirements

Job Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO)
• Graduate of an accredited medical school
• Valid Texas Medical License or willing to obtain prior to start date
• Valid South Carolina Medical License or willing to obtain prior to start date
• Outstanding knowledge of medications, side effects and contraindications
• Outstanding patient management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Clinical experience in an emergency, urgent care or ambulatory clinic setting preferred
• BLS certified
• Unrestricted DEA license
• Board Certified

Environmental and physical requirements:

• Candidate must be able to read, write and speak English fluently, have cognitive skills for math, reading, filing and sterile technique skills.
• Communication skills to deal well with employees, patients and families
• Vision for near, mid-range, far and accommodation. Hearing for low, medium, and high pitch.
• Job requires physical ability for long-term standing, occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching with reaching above head and below waist.
• Job risks include exposure to blood and body fluids (high), contact with chemicals, lifting of 30 - 40 pounds, and exposure to infectious disease.
• Professional appearing work space/background and quiet environment for remote patient care, stable high speed internet.
