Job summary

Amerivet seeks a Medical Director for Kingdom Animal Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT. You will lead medical quality, mentor veterinarians, and drive a culture of teamwork and compassionate, high-quality care.

This role balances hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities, reporting to the Practice Manager and aligning with Amerivet’s standards. The position requires DVM, active licensure, and 3–5 years of practice, with a commitment to at least 35 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent and active licensure in state of practice.
• Active DEA registration for responsible practice location.
• 3–5 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian.
• Commit to a minimum of 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and mentor associate veterinarians.
• Oversee medical quality, patient care, and documentation.
• Lead regular doctor meetings and collaborate with Practice Manager.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and responsible drug handling.
