Job summary

Rarebreed Veterinary Partners seeks a compassionate Medical Director for Slade Veterinary Hospital in Kentucky. You will lead the veterinary team, collaborate with referring doctors, and drive top-tier patient care using state-of-the-art facilities.

Base salary ranges from $150,000 to $170,000 with a production-based bonus structure. Sign-on and relocation bonus eligibility are included as part of the package. Employment requires references and a background check.

Qualifications

• DVM degree required.
• Interest in Canine Reproductive Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically.
• Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem, and communicate with referring veterinarians.
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field.
• Leading & supervising the clinic team to work with the Hospital Manager on finances.
• Working with a Regional Operations Manager and the Hospital Manager to achieve high standards and provide superior pet patient care.
• Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients in well pet.
• Perform dentals.
• Contribute to making our workplace enjoyable for all: staff, clients, and pets.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
• 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a Veterinary Hospital setting is preferred
• Internship training is also preferred but not required
• Eligible to obtain MA Veterinary License
• Interest in Canine Reproductive Medicine
