Job summary

Altea Healthcare is seeking a physician to serve as medical director for skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and to provide comprehensive primary care to residents. The physician will supervise NP/PA staff, participate in quality initiatives, and ensure guideline compliance across facilities.

The role includes attending care rounds, coordinating with clinical staff, and overseeing daily patient care while maintaining high standards of patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Medical license is required.
• Experience with managed care and EHR systems.
• Experience in patient care and hospital environments.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as medical director for SNFs and participate in administrative and quality initiatives.
• Attend monthly quality assurance and process improvement meetings and guide facility staff.
• Provide attending physician care for residents at each facility.
• Collaborate with NPs and PAs to manage day-to-day resident care.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions in SNF residents.
• Supervise collaborating clinicians as needed.
