Job summary

S:US is seeking an Associate Medical Director to lead psychiatric care within Brooklyn/Harlem CCBHCs and contribute to leadership activities across clinical operations.

The role requires MD, NY license, DEA and board certification in psychiatry, with experience in underserved populations and MAT prescribing. In-person clinic work includes collaboration with NPs, RNs, and Directors to improve patient outcomes and care delivery.

Qualifications

• MD, Board Certified in Psychiatry required.
• New York State medical license and DEA registration required.
• Experience with underserved populations and direct service.
• Prescribing buprenorphine and naltrexone.
• Proficiency with EHRs and prescribing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide health assessments, psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children, adolescents and adults.
• Provide consultation to psychiatric nurse practitioners and registered nurses at CCBHC clinics.
• Support Clinic Directors in evaluation and treatment of patients, including medication and crisis care.
• Assist in clinical quality improvement projects and implement innovative clinic practices.
• Collaborate to plan staff development and engage leadership across the organization.
• Collaborate with staff for complex cases and develop care processes.
• Liaise with on-site pharmacy; create protocols and facilitate integration.
• Document all services and treatment plans; review staff consultations.
• Develop community partnerships and promote CCBHC services; engage external groups.
• Participate in Incident Review Committee meetings and perform other duties.
