Job summary

VIVA USA Inc. is seeking an experienced Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and oversight of psychiatric care.

Reporting to the Center CEO, you will supervise medical staff, shape clinical policies, and ensure regulatory compliance across licensure and accreditation standards. The role requires directing treatment programs, improving care quality, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to sustain regulatory readiness with CMS and The Joint Commission.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Physician License to practice medicine.
• American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) Certification in Psychiatry, or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years of substantive medical administrative experience directing, planning, and evaluating a medical/clinical program.
• Experience supervising and coordinating multidisciplinary professional staff.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across professional disciplines.
• Ability to successfully complete license verification, employment verification, background investigation, OIG sanctions review, and professional credential verification.
• Must submit a resume meeting all required qualifications with the bid.

Position Overview

Under the administrative direction of the Center CEO, the Medical Director will supervise medical staff, oversee the quality of psychiatric care, direct medical treatment programs, develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with applicable medical, ethical, licensing, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications (MANDATORY)

• American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) Certification in Psychiatry, or equivalent.

• Experience supervising and coordinating multidisciplinary professional staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving as a Medical Director or psychiatric clinical leader in a state psychiatric hospital, behavioral health facility, or similar inpatient setting.
• Experience with hospital accreditation and regulatory compliance (IDPH, CMS, The Joint Commission).
• Executive-level leadership experience in behavioral health or psychiatric services.
• Experience managing quality improvement initiatives and clinical operations.
