Job summary

NP Now, LLC seeks an inpatient Psychiatrist – Medical Director to lead clinical and administrative functions in a high‑volume psychiatric unit affiliated with Yale School of Medicine.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, supervision of trainees, and collaboration across departments to ensure quality, safety, and cost-effective operations within the hospital.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Psychiatrist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Medical Director / Psychiatrist designation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care: assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for patients with psychiatric disorders in an inpatient setting.
• Supervise students and residents as assigned.
• Collaborate with other staff to ensure coordinated and continuous care within the psychiatric department.
• Participate in the evaluation of quality of services provided.
• Exhibit administrative and organizational skills; demonstrate compliance with institutional, regulatory, legal, and professional guidelines.
• Maintain attendance and reliability to support efficient and cost‑effective hospital operations.
