Job summary

University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) seeks a visionary Medical Director for the Richard Fine People’s Clinic at ZSFG. The role leads RFPC clinical operations and teaches UCSF residents and students within the SFHN system.

The candidate will be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine, obtain an active CA license, and devote 50% effort to clinical duties while maintaining an ambulatory practice. Applicants with safety-net experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine
• Active California medical license
• Commitment to high-quality care for urban underserved
• Experience in safety-net settings and with marginalized populations

Responsibilities

• Lead RFPC’s clinical management team and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient operations
• Provide clinical supervision and continuing education for nurse practitioners
• Ensure clinical competency and credentialing oversight
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and meet network and state targets
• Collaborate on innovative approaches to improve population health
• Represent RFPC in network and hospital-wide discussions
• Provide RFPC clinical service 1–2 sessions per week
• Precept residents at least one clinic per week
• Support training of medical students and allied health learners
